Discover what Pakistan's most influential voices in climate and environment have to say about our initiative.
It is inspiring to see such a dedicated effort to mobilize young people to address climate change. Mujtaba Baig’s initiative is a significant step towards building a climate-resilient future for Pakistan. By providing accessible online training, he’s empowering a new generation of climate advocates to drive policy change and sustainable practices. As such the issue of Climate Change is difficult to control. The fact is that Pakistan is contributing less. On the contrary, it is ranked eighth number on the global level from vulnerability to climate change impacts. This is a terrible situation for the country. The solution lies in adaptation and minimization of the incurring impacts. In this regard, every individual has to come forward and play their role. The government has initiated a Climate Change Policy, and as a custodian, they have to act quickly, and the citizens have to fully support and adopt the provisions of the Policy. All key sectors like water, air, industrialization, urbanization, population growth, agriculture, and poverty elimination need critical analysis, and scientific restructuring may be infused. Moreover, our youth is very responsible and skilful, and they may be mobilized in understanding and playing their role in the resilient actions regarding climate change and its impacts. Contribution and support of all stakeholders, viz. politicians, media, academia from educational institutions and community representatives, may also be vital in this respect.
